Hamilton High School - National Honor Society: Meetings

Attendance Requirements

ATTENDANCE

Attendance at all monthly meetings during advisement is mandatory. Attendance is a National and Hamilton Chapter requirement. (Most Hamilton clubs do not have mandatory attendance. NHS is required).

Students may have one "unexcused" absence per year.  Unexcused= forgot to attend, taking a make-up test, etc.

Excused meetings = Excused absence from school. Examples of excused absence = Illness, doctor appt, or school related field trips (sporting events, plays, performances). Members are expected to email to Ms. Swanson or Ms. Gorski.

  • Miss 1 meeting (unexcused) = No Consequences
  • Miss 2 meetings = placed on probation for the remainder of the year. Any additional absences beyond two will result in the member being referred to the Faculty Council for dismissal from NHS.
